What a fun day! We played a team from another league today. First inning, our team got them out 1,2,3. I hadn’t even made it to my picture taking spot yet. We scored a couple runs and I thought we were on our way to a huge victory. Reality hit hard at their next at bat. I started noticing how huge the other team was. They didn’t have a single small player. Then I heard one of their moms saying they were a level up from us and all of them were at least 10. Ryan just turned 7. Our team was down 4-8 in the third inning and then they turned it on. We ended up beating them 12-8. They had been undefeated until today.
Ryan throws his catcher mask off every time he misses a ball or there’s a foul tip. He almost caught one today.
The routine:
We love baseball!
Tonight Tessie came over. Ryan was talking to her in the living room while I was getting Erik out of the bath. After baseball a few of the boys came over to play. It was after six when the last one went home and nearly seven when Tessie came over. He told her that he had been wearing his cup the whole day. She asked him if it was kind of uncomfortable. He told her, “Well, just when I was riding my bike.”
