Check

Why not end the year checking off a couple of things?  I got Harvey to hang both the quilt from Gramma and the chandelier I bought a few months ago.  The room is starting to look so cute.  I’m now trying to talk Harvey into putting the crown molding and baseboards in Kimmy’s room.  He’s not totally with me on it.  He wants to wait until we replace all of the bedroom windows and then do the woodwork around the windows along with the moldings…I’m thinking she might be in college by then.

2011-12-31_002 I love this quilt because elephants have about the same gestation as a Korean adoption!

End of the Year Ideas

I love sending and receiving Christmas cards.  I always struggle with what to do with them after Christmas, especially ones with pictures.  Since the boys enjoy looking at all of the pictures too, I put them in a little book.  I only had gigantic rings, but it’s such a great idea.2011-12-30_006 I found the printout at:  eighteen25

I also found this at eighteen25 for tomorrow night.

Owl Pellets

Before our Christmas break we started learning about owls.  I, of course, had no idea that was going to involve owl pellets.  Owls don’t chew up all those pesky bones when they have a squirrel for dinner.  They later throw up a pellet of bones and fur for kids to look through.  As soon as I pulled the thing out I knew it was time for reinforcements:  enter Daddy.

As I was starting to throw everything away so I could do a major bleaching job, Harvey came up with this great idea of saving all of the bones…

MIL made us this wonderful sign with our last name on it.  I can’t wait to put up.  We just have to pick the perfect location.

2011-12-25_181I totally believe this toy won’t damage my walls.  I mean two boys racing metal cars on the wall…no problem!

This isn’t the one I tried to talk Harvey into!

Harvey decided to stay home on Monday so I decided to take advantage…that meant everything Christmas was put away.
