Last week we went to an Operation Christmas Child celebration. We got to see videos of kids receiving boxes and hear about many who took the follow-up Bible classes. We also took a trip around the room to learn more about each step involved in getting shoeboxes to children all around the world-all 8,000,000+ of them just last year!
We learned more about some of the countries boxes were delivered to.
Talked more about what to pack in the boxes and where to find good deals.
It was fun to hear about the interesting methods of transportation used to deliver shoeboxes, like motorcycles, donkeys, and yaks!
Ryan was recognized for his hard work at taping all of those boxes. He got to choose one of the ‘methods of transportation’ to take home.
Dec. 2011: 8,630,568 boxes collected internationally!
