So our heater broke four days ago. Fortunately, we are polar vortex free around here, but it has been a little chilly for me. We have been having lots of fires to warm us up. On Wednesday night Harvey decided to just stay at work and sleep since he was going to be so late getting home. Ryan all of a sudden became the man of the house. He went outside and brought in the firewood and helped me get the fire going. I think he liked being manly because he talked Harvey into letting him do the whole thing last night. Since we have had the week off from school, Ryan and I have stayed up late reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. As we sat by the fire he said it reminded him of Grandma with ATV’s house because we were reading by the fire. I’m pretty sure Harvey won’t be sleeping at work again. His new office has no windows so it got really hot and then when the workers came in around three they pumped up the mariachi music. Lesson: Always come home to your wife! : )
So ALL THREE kids are spending the night at Gramma’s! How happy are we!! We had a nice dinner and now Harvey is watching the Olympics. I’m off to enjoy the quiet!
