Today is an important day. A day to remember those we are called to defend, to love, to care for. I’m adopted. I remember the fear I felt after my mom died that my dad might die too, and leave me an orphan. But I was adopted by another mom and that brought me great peace and security. That was my second adoption. I was adopted into God’s family when I was seven. I am his beloved daughter. God loves adoption. I do too.
