We decided to have some fun at the boardwalk on our way to family camp last weekend. As expected, it was fleece for our beach expedition. Will I ever experience sun at the beach again?
When we walked by the roller coaster Erik was adamant to ride it. I knew he would regret it, but we went for it.
This is when it all started to go downhill…
and this will be the last picture of Erik on a roller coaster for the next several years.
I’ve never been a carnival game person so I never think about the boys playing any of these. Erik really wanted to try this game where you use a fishing pole to grab one of the frogs. He won the biggest prize…we are now a ‘gaming’ family.
Ryan wanted to play all of the baseball games.
He did get one down, but you had to get 3/3 to win. Not feeling too bad about missing out on the Sponge Bob!
In this one, he threw two balls, it recorded his speeds and then he guessed what his third ball would clock at. The first throw was 27 mph. His second throw was 26. The guy asked his what he thought his next pitch would be. “76” was his guess. Um, clearly he had been holding back on the first two throws! I explained, I thought rather clearly, that his next pitch would be close to one of his earlier pitches. The guy asked him again, and Ryan responded, “42”. Okay. I then told him to pick 26, 27, or 28. He chose 28!
So it seems the kiddie rides are a thing of the past for this guy. Next time we’re heading right to the games.
