I received a Christmas card from my sister like a week ago (meaning she actually had it done and mailed on one of the first days of December.) It occurred to me that the picture of her children in short-sleeved shirts running on the beach was probably taken earlier than December…! I don’t know why I feel my kids have to be in red coordinating Christmas outfits and be subjected to my rushed photo sessions two weeks later than I intended but I do. I’ve learned a few things in my insanity however, like a back pocket full of candy. They were sports nonetheless and we got to play in the park for an hour afterwards. I think they forgot we had one right next to our house!
