So scratch the line about the color being lighter than our sample! Harv was home for lunch so we decided to paint while Erik took a nap. While I was rocking Erik I heard Harvey mixing the paint. Since we just got it I expected it to take a minute or too but it just kept going and going. When I went into the kitchen he said that once he started he noticed all of this yellow coming up. So our soft, buttery, lovely yellow is not so soft, and buttery…but definitely YELLOW. For about a half hour I loved it, but as the sun shifted it worsened. Our friend dropped by and assured me it wasn’t “too bad.” Not exactly the description I was going for. Well, I guess I can knock ‘color specialist’ off my resume. It took the steam out of finishing the painting tonight. I’ll have to see what it looks like in the morning. Maybe a new light fixture would help? : ) The boys are all in bed so I’ll have to share a photo tomorrow.
Cute Ryan idea:
“Mom, do you want to take a picture of me with my special pillow so I can show my grandkids?”
