Last weekend saw the end of school and baseball and it is finally beginning to feel a little like summer (despite the cold windy day today) is near. We are still busy, busy, busy with yard work. Every time I get a small area weeded I find a new one.
We are crazy about our straw garden! So far everything seems happy and is growing. We have had about 1/2 dozen strawberries. Harv raised the net so we can keep the tomatoes in there.
Harv finished building the shed last year but he wanted to put in a water line over there so he never filled in all of the dirt. He finally got that done yesterday so tomorrow we’ll get a delivery of rocks for some drainage around the shed and that area will be officially of the list!
So your kid brings you a toy and asks you to put in new batteries…you happily take out four tiny screws with the screwdriver you have to search for only to discover that those screws hold on a plate that does not come off let alone reveal the batteries. You put the scews back on and send the toy and screwdriver off with your child to their father which you should have done in the first place since this is certainly not the first time you have taken off the wrong screws. Daddy fixes everything in about one minute only for you to remember with one push of the annoying toy why you let it die in the first place. Why do you keeping doing that?
Ryan got these plants for his birthday. There is a bean plant, a butterfly plant, and a cucumber. We’ll put them in our fabulous garden when they are ready!
Erik’s first painting! I think he’s a natural.
He actually did great. He kept all of the brushes in their respective homes and mostly kept on the paper. He did three and probably would have kept going if I hadn’t cut him off.
Tomorrow we go to the allergist. I am trying not to get my hopes up!
Happy Birthday Auntie Gay!!
