We’re going to have another garage sale! We did this two years ago and raised a lot of money for our Christmas Shoeboxes. All money raised will go towards filling boxes and postage. If you are local and have anything that has a REASONABLE chance of selling please let me know! We will be having the sale on Sept. 17th.
A journal for friends and family to follow our life with our boys, Ryan and Erik, and our little girl Megan.

Sausage Races
Ryan spent hours working on his sausage costume yesterday. He’s a big fan of the sausage race so he decided he and Erik would have their own. Obviously we aren’t quite ready to start school, we’ve got important things going on!
And they’re off…
It’s hard to know how many sausage race photos people will look at…
If you made it this far, it’s 19. I think the frankfurter won. We aim to please!

The A-Frame
So I’ve found a new way to pass the time waiting for our baby girl to come home…
It’s amazing how the memories flooded back with these little people! I’ve been warned that not all little girls like dollhouses. Fortunately, I’m perfectly happy playing by myself or with my boys! : ) But really, what kid wouldn’t want to play with this? Wait until they get a pool!
The dresser is making progress, or at least Harvey is. He has it primed, so hopefully it will be done this week. I need a place to put my house!

Done!
I finally finished Erik’s baby books, and he’s not even three! Next, finishing Ryan’s (because he’s not even seven.)

It’s Starting
Today was Ryan’s first soccer practice. He’s playing U8. It should be interesting since he just started last year and that team had a significant number of players crying on the sidelines each week not wanting to play. This season is all boys and mostly second grade. A friend invited him on the team. His dad is the coach and thinks Ryan can do it.
Fall ball starts on Sunday. That means soccer practice Wed. and Sat. games and Sunday baseball. I’ll put Ryan’s schedule up on the sidebar when I get it.

Fort
thanks for the fun picture Mare!
Ryan and Erik built a fort yesterday…right in front of the only access to the kitchen.
After a day of squeezing by they asked to sleep in it. I didn’t think Erik would go for it, but by 8:40 they had both fallen asleep. Erik lasted until 5:45 this morning and then crawled in bed with me. Ryan made it another hour and then joined us. Ryan tried to talk me into leaving it another day but got a big negative on that one.
So my Toyota started making a weird and concerning noise whenever I had the car moving. Harv took it into the guy who works on it. He thought it was a bearing. It took longer to figure out since it wasn’t a regular wheel bearing. He called Toyota to see about getting the part…they responded, “We don’t sell that because it doesn’t ever need replacing.” Well…apparently it does! Seems the salvage yard is going to be the only way to salvage my car!

Driving Mom
We went to the amusement park with some friends this week and had a great time. The boys decided to wear their summer uniform which actually made it quite easy to spot them.
Erik: “I DON’T like that ride!”
(and a far less cool car!)
Cute for the photo, but he spent most of the ride looking everywhere but the road. I’ve got 13 more years to get him ready! Probably going to need those.
I finally got to be the backseat driver!
