A journal for friends and family to follow our life with our boys, Ryan and Erik, and our little girl Megan.
Our poor Buster! I watched the play last night and was sorry I saw it. I told Ryan this morning Buster might be out for the year. Fortunately he has a lot of Harv in him and said, “At least he didn’t die.” I’m still mad at the Marlin…you know, I’m mature like that!
Did you know that not all insects are bugs? We’re full of insect trivia over here!
I prefer butterflies!
I’m off to a friend’s. We’re going to read a Beth Moore book this summer and get together to talk about it. I’m looking forward to it.
Erik had his first day of soccer today. It was supposed to be last week but I remembered about three hours after it was over. Apparently only two kids showed up. The weather hadn’t been good so they decided people probably stayed home (I went with that. It sounds better than ‘I forgot even though it is on my two foot calendar.’) We get to have an extra class at the end. Erik loved it. It was fun to do a class with him again. Ryan and I did so many more…poor second child! : ) We also met our friend Jenny at the park. I didn’t bring my camera so you missed out on lots of great photos! I’m in a funk since my great lens is in the shop with sand in it. Hoping for the best!
Ryan was glad to be back for the game. He missed two games during our trip. His fans were out in full force today…15! He hit a nice double for them.
We had a great hike this morning. Now that the weather is a little warmer I hope we can do this more.
Taking time to watch the ant
It looks like the formula has already been donated! If they need more for the next trip I’ll let you know!
Hi, no not for us! A friend from church got some exciting news. They will be traveling to Ethiopia in June for the first of two trips to bring their son home. The orphanage has a serious need for milk-based formula. She has a goal of bringing 150 pounds of formula with her. What a wonderful way to love these children! If you are out at Target, Costco or another store buying your own family food why not add a can of formula!! It must be a milk-based formula but can be any brand. If you plan on contributing just let me know or drop it off at my house.
We headed back north for San Luis Obispo (where the boys will actually be going to school! Ha!)

(in case you were wondering)
We’re an artsy kind of family
It was noted that I wasn’t seen in the ocean either…as you can see, my beach wear makes ocean dipping quite difficult!
My feet did actually make contact with the sand!
Did I mention 111 STEPS?
On the first trip we dumped our stuff and I looked at Harv…”Did you grab the blanket?” Bummer! By my calculations that made it a 444 stair day!
We had a really nice weekend visiting with six other families who have adopted from Korea. All of the kids are 2 1/2 or younger. This little friend came home on the same day as Erik.
Two missions in two days!
almost done with SLO! : )
