What a Week

It has been one of those weeks…Harvey is sick again, a friend has been borrowing our 4runner and it was hit (and run) in front of his house, our credit card info. was stolen and someone made off with $1000 worth of goodies, Harvey’s cooler broke…ugh!  But I am feeling so relieved…Megan has made incredible strides in the last month.  The behavior and developmental growth has made things around here so much fun.  She is doing “awesome” at school according to her teacher.  Next week I am signing her up for transitional kindergarten.  I think it is just what she needs for the upcoming year.

On Sunday Ryan got called up.  He was thrilled of course.  His coach called to see if he could fill in for a player for the 11u tournament.  They were already down to 9 players.  The other player made it through game one, but he was too sick to play anymore.  If they didn’t get another player they would have had to forfeit.  We knew it was probably his best chance at finally winning in the foreseeable future.  The 11u is a really good team.  They almost always win their tournaments.  The 10u…well…their time will come.  Ryan was a pinch runner in the first game and managed to get himself into a pickle.  He made it safely back to third though.  He scored the first run and they won 2-1.  That got them into the final.  Ryan made a great bunt down the third base line.  The third baseman overthrew first and he made it to second.  It was really great because these are really big guys.  The pitcher was throwing 50mph.  Ryan has never hit off that before.  He also scored in the second game and they won 5-4.  His first championship with this team.  His coach has 6 teams up to 18u.

I told you they were huge!  And he wasn’t the biggest.

Well our weird week has put a temporary halt to the closet, but there has been progress.  I love that the empty space is gone.  Hopefully things will settle down soon and it will get shelves and paint!
