Got Strikes?

I taped a little bit of Ryan pitching.  He's a little far away, but still fun to watch.  (If you click on the small brackets on the bottom right of the video clip it will make it full screen and easier to see.)

South Korea-Take 1

I decided to tape Erik practicing his report on South Korea.  He went off in a little different direction than I expected...unfortunately, Ryan's birthday brownies interrupted the presentation, but enjoy! : )

Peeple’s Choice

Last year we had an egg drop.  Everyone had to design a container to protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped.  Well, it was fun, but we have way to many engineers.  Harvey ended up on the roof throwing them off trying to get a winner.  This year I decided to get creative.  We went with Peeps.  Ryan chose Star Wars.  I’ve been thinking of doing this for a year.  We started it on Sat. night…Fortunately, it only took one extra Michael’s run.

2014-04-20_063 I know no one saw this coming after my first attempt at dipping the bunnies!  I decided to read the directions after that.  And then watch a video.  Uh, folks, this is why they invented YouTube!  They are all Peeps.  I am especially proud of Yoda.

This one set the bar pretty high.

Nothing says “Easter” quite like the Vietnam War.

Happy Easter

We had a very nice Easter.  I had a long week of not feeling well.  It was wonderful that I was feeling better and could enjoy the day.  We had seven families join us for Easter dinner.  We had a very creative contest.  I’ll tease you at the end of the post.

2014-04-20_016 Couldn’t be bothered to get up and get his own basket.  He finally perked up when he saw this highly ‘unEaster’ gift.  I could only use so much grass to fill the almost empty baskets for the boys.  Of course Harvey had a stock pile of Star Wars figures to add.

“W”

I had to go to an appointment this morning, so I was a little late to Ryan’s game.  I didn’t bring a camera.  I wish I had some video.  He hit two doubles, a triple, took a walk and pitched a nine pitch inning…nine strikes!

Please keep in mind that there were two in-yard homeruns (doubles at best!)  There was some kind of fielding going on!  But they won!!  We have a win, 15-4.  It was truly enjoyed by all.

2014-04-19_002 It’s going to be a long night!

Seriously

Oh, Red Sox…they are really, really not good.  It is painful to watch.  Fortunately, Ryan is still having fun.  He is learning nothing, but he has friends and that was our biggest hope for going back to his age.  But did I mention how painful it is to watch?

Megan got new shoes yesterday.  When she saw them it was love at first sight. She is CRAZY about them.  I wanted to see how she would do on the balance bar.  I tried to hold her hand as she walked…

Ryan bubble It is possible that Ryan plays baseball to chew gum and make bubbles…I don’t think soccer players chew gum.
