It’s the year of the bunny! Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Korean New Year too!
Once again my decorating skills stretched to their limits!
The Chinese have some pretty good traditions…like getting together and sitting around a table filled with yummy food for the hot pot to celebrate the new year. Don’t worry Tessie, the raw food is all cooked in the pot of hot broth. We had a wonderful time with friends and enjoying all of this wonderful food with them.
The kids enjoyed a cute Chinese New Year book. I tried to find one for Korean New Year, but I couldn’t find one in the store. I need to go online I guess.
Pretty sure Erik didn’t miss the Korean book this year!
Picking out the right nose!
(we all have our favorite M&M colors!)
Another fun tradition (for the kids, not the old folks giving up hard earned dollars) is getting red envelopes with money inside. Each of the kids got an envelope from our friends.
I have my limits! I did not clean our house from top to bottom (or from side to side for that matter.) Seems like a good tradition, but I’m going to risk it and get ready for school instead.
