Got Mail!

  Ryan got some very fun mail today.  Someone at the Giants’ office is on top of fan mail.

Erik saw an ad for the new Winnie the Pooh movie and has talked about it ever since.  Since it was so hot today I thought it would be cool and a fun first movie for him.  Ryan was not interested in movies at all at this age but I thought Erik would like it.  I think there were about 12 other people there so we got to sit right in the middle.  After the twenty minutes of advertising and previews…it finally started.  After about five minutes it was time for a potty break.  We got settled in again and he watched for a few minutes.  He then climbed on my lap, which I had been waiting and waiting for, he leaned back, whispered, “I love you Mommy” and gave me a kiss.  He knows how to work it!  He then leaned back and said, “Let’s go home.”  Sorry buddy, Mommy paid $17, enjoy the show!  He settled in again and we did enjoy the rest of the show.

Getting Busy Again…

 We finally had our first movie night.  Good old Charlie Brown did not disappoint.

I have two friends named Betty.  Both are tomato experts.  What are the odds?

Our overgrown garden is pumping out tomatoes.  I think we should give up on anything else! 

   It’s almost 8pm so we should probably go wash the orange clay out of his hair.  He requested a picture because he thought this was absolutely hilarious.

 

 

 

We had a great time at a party yesterday with several Korea families.  We are so happy to have so many wonderful families in our lives. 

 

I started potty training again last week.  Erik walked up to me a few days ago and said he wanted to go on the train.  I couldn’t figure out what he was talking about and then he said he wanted to go on the potty train!  I think I can finally say Erik is fully potty-trained.  He has been for number two for months and months but never seemed too excited about number one so I didn’t push it.  We’ve been out to the stores all week, the party yesterday, and church today with no accidents, which of course now that I have mentioned it will mean an accident…but I think we are there.

Today We Stripped

 

No, this is from today…

 

It’s only taken 15 years…the dresser is finally getting a new lease on life.  Today we stripped the paint.  Harv has a little repair work to do on it and then a fresh coat of paint.  We got the baby’s curtain up and moved Erik’s.  The picture had a big shadow so I’ll have to take one at a different time of day.  Progress…

 

Allergy Alert!

After all of these years of saying Ryan has a peanut allergy we finally got proof.  I gave Erik a peanut butter sandwich this morning.  Ryan called out to me and said his arm was itchy.  Erik had touched Ryan’s arm with some peanut butter on his fingers.  Ryan’s arm had lots of bumps/welts.  It concerned me to have that much with only a small amount touching his skin.  Fortunately he didn’t have any mouth/breathing issues, but the peanut butter has left the building.  So please don’t go touching Ryan with your sticky fingers!
