All six fields look like a major league park.

Not all of the parents were interested in sitting in 30 degree weather to watch their little boys…notice there are no mothers…we of course sat as close to them as we could.  (Except for the occasional trip inside for a picture…and the bathroom, and a snack, and to warm up, and…)

Notice how useful his throwing hand was going to be.

Ryan is the only catcher at his level I have ever seen go talk to his pitcher.  He loves it.  So Big League.

In this league, the catcher has to get the sign from the coach and then give it to the pitcher.

Wrigley Field

Ryan made it to “Wrigley Field”!  It was a fun weekend…especially if you enjoy arctic temperatures.

Taiwan concluded

2012-12-14_004 He was supposed to experience his Chinese roots, not his Italian ones!

2012-12-14_002  Whew…they didn’t bring these home.  I know they thought about it!

2012-12-16_007 Finding things Ryan could eat was a little harder than Harvey expected.  He survived in great part with tomatoes.

2012-12-16_009 Harv said the produce looked so much better than here.

It was a wonderful trip.  Ryan and Harvey had such a nice time with his family.  Ryan can’t wait to return.  The thought of Erik and Megan on a 14 hour flight is a little scary, but hopefully we’ll be able to go one of these days.

The Christmas Card Photo

One of the kids favorite traditions is when I take them to the park and make them pose and smile until I get a cute picture of ALL of them, and then do it again the next day just to be sure.  : )

New Year’s Eve

Tonight we went to Harvey’s aunt and uncle’s for dinner.  We always have a nice meal there and fun with cousins.  As tradition goes, we’ll be in bed before 10.  I have never been a big New Year’s Eve party type person.  Since I have to get up early, exercise, do all the laundry, and clean up the house before the kids get up…just kidding…I didn’t make any resolutions.  Don’t call too early!

2012-12-25_013 Megan got a bike for Christmas.  We have only taken it out once because of the weather, but she loved it.  Right now she just walks it, but I can tell she will be on the seat and cruising soon.
