One of my errands today was taking the boys to get their pictures taken before Kimmy comes. I always make them pose for me when we get home since they are generally clean and wearing something without holes.
A journal for friends and family to follow our life with our boys, Ryan and Erik, and our little girl Megan.

In one week we’ll be home together as a family of five! I’ll probably be as tired as I am right now! We just got home from a few days at the lake with my brother’s family. Harvey had to stay home. I’m down to three more chances of a good night’s sleep before we leave. The boys had a great time and it helped move this long week along. Now I have laundry up to my ears and lots of last minute things to get done.
We leave for Korea on Monday the 23rd! We decided to stay twice as long in Korea this time. That will make it a little less than 48 hours. We will come home on the 26th. I have lots to do in the meantime! I have been working on a photo book for Erik’s foster mom and totally forgot to make my dish for a potluck tomorrow for friends moving overseas. I best get to cooking since it’s getting close to tomorrow. More details to come!
We got another picture of Kimmy. I hope the 22 month picture is taken by mommy…and it has a big smile!
We made it through our first tournament experience. Obviously, we had no idea what we were getting into when we said we’d be around! Ryan loved every minute of it. We had a great first game this morning. It was a more evenly matched game. Seeing as we lost two pitching coaches and two of our best hitters/fielders to vacations, we faired really well. Today we were tied most of the game. We had to play two extra innings, which we have had to do before, but this time we won! We lost the second game, but they really had a good time.
watching a little too much MLB?
No news on Kimmy. It could be any time, but my best guess is not until the third or fourth week of July. We got Erik his new carseat. I think we have most of the things we need to travel.
It’s July! We are likely in the month of travel! I keep looking at the expiration dates on my milk and thinking Kimmy might be home before they expire. I am slowly crossing off things on my list.
Only one more week of baseball. Last Saturday was a long one. Ryan had four games on Saturday. They ended up in fourth place. The second game was tough. They went into an extra inning and lost. If they had won, they would have automatically played in the finals. The loser had to play an extra game. They had three games in a row and played from 3-6pm. We then had a party at the coach’s house. All of the parents sat exhausted on the patio while the boys played tag on the grass.
