So at this point Ryan pretty much directs the photo shoots…

He was quite a hit since every neighbor had the World Series on.  We got updates at every door.  Poor guy, only 5 and he had to weigh the delight of filling up on candy against watching the Giants in the World Series.  Fortunately we made it around the block quickly and were home in time to watch the the last couple of innings.  Couldn’t have had a better first year of baseball!

The Great Pumpkin

So I spent October feeling like I had a terrible flu.  It started in August when I noticed my finger was too swollen to get my ring on.  I had awful aching in my arms for several months along with not feeling right.  When my knuckle began to throb and keep me up at night I decided to go to the doctor.  Things just got more intense and the muscle aches, which were awful, and the fatigue made me go to another doctor.  So after several doctors and lots and lots of tests we don’t know what was going on.  The last several days have been much better with only my hands bothering me.  Since I didn’t sleep well mornings were tough.  One morning Ryan decided to change Erik out of his jammies, change his diaper, choose an outfit, and get him dressed.   2010-10-25_004

This is the outfit Ryan chose for Erik.  Too bad he couldn’t have picked a winning team!

Erik was not happy about sitting under the spider.

Catching Up

One of the things I let go of last months was my camera.  I did take a few photos but nothing like the normal amount.  Hope they forgive me! : )  It was so great to have this play area for the boys while I wasn’t feeling well.

After our apple picking outing I felt obligated the desire to make an apple pie.  Ryan was all over it.  It was fun to see how much more he could do this year.  Only a couple more years and I’ll be able to just hand him the apples and sit back and wait for my pie!

Rocky Update:

So the tank is in working order!  I actually enjoy it.  We found out that Rocky is actually ‘Miss Rocky’ instead.  A few weeks ago Harvey noticed that she had eggs covering a good portion of her.  Before her ‘condition’ I actually witnessed her falling out of this tank onto the floor.  She must miss her man or something.  The eggs are supposed to take about a month to hatch.  Since there has been no ‘Mr. Rocky’ for some time we don’t think we’ll get any babies.  The fish were eating the eggs right off her body so Harv had to put a net in between them.

She’s Back!

Both the mother board and the mother (me) were out for October.  I have never felt worse and have never seen more doctors in such a short period.  Too much to tackle tonight but I’ll catch you up as we get back on board.  Of course the highlight of the month was being Giants fans.  Couldn’t have been more fun for our biggest baseball fan.
