Fun at the Park

We finally made it back to the park that I u-turned and never stopped at a few weeks ago.  When I saw the number of school buses in the parking lot I nearly did a drive-by again.  I’m just not a crowd person.  We forged ahead and I made Ryan run so we could get in before the line of kids (mature huh!). 

 

 

This was as close as Erik would get to the carousel.

 Erik loved feeding the animals.  He didn’t care if they slimed him or nudged his hand a little. 

 

 

 

I so need one of these at home!

 

 If I had one of these there would be way less trouble getting hands washed…there would be other problems, but their hands would be clean.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It’s been a good week for slides.  The long, straight one was voted ‘best in slides’. 

 

 

 

 

 

The climbing structure was the big hit of the day.  Erik was crazy for it.  Leaving the structure was also a hit (by Erik) followed by a tantrum most of the park got to enjoy. 

 

 

 

Thanks Gramma for the cool snack tray.  It worked perfectly and it’s the longest he’s stayed in the stroller in a long time.

 

When we got home my uncle had taken down the flowering plum for us.  It was leaning and always in the way.  I’m sure we can do better!

It’s Been Raining Again!

 Since it was another rainy day yesterday we got out the playhouse.  The boys had fun playing together.  Ryan did a little “E.T.” on me.  Can you find him?  : )

 

 

 

Is it really the love of baseball…or is it the Snack Shack?  Ryan has been introduced to the Icee, the snowcone, and a way too large assortment of candy.

Better Late Than Never (hopefully)

  I wanted to put together a special thank you card for Santa Bob after he came to our house, but I just couldn’t seem to get it done.  Well, it is finally done.  Middle of May, but done.   And as they say…’Done is Beautiful!’

Fun at the Park

We tried a new park with some friends and boy do they know how to do slides!  We are going camping next weekend with these friends and another family.  Today pretty much set the stage: their kids playing nicely in the sand and me running around trying to find one or both of mine.   

 

 

 

 

 Think Harv could build us one of these?

 

 

 

 

 

 

While Erik took a nap Ryan and I played a game of Monopoly.  “I like to put my money like this.  Do you want to do it like mine?” (Mommy)

 

Ryan:  “I like it like this, I can find it easy.”

I don’t see any potential conflicts in our future, nope, not one! : )

Gotta Brush

Erik looked so cute this morning.  He loves to wear Ryan’s hat.  He started putting his hands in his pockets…too cute!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Ryan is crazy for baseball.  Last night he came in from playing and said, “I feel like watching a game.”  He practiced with Harv this afternoon.  We are on like day three of his getting hit in the face with the ball.  He keeps asking Harv to throw high balls and then at the last minute he closes his eyes…and well, it bops him in the face.

      

 I’m so happy I caught this picture because it was followed with him clowning around with the bat, and you guessed it, clocking himself in the face.

      

 

      

 

      

 

      

Ryan and Erik are doing so well together.  Ryan loves to help him.  After wondering so many times if Ryan would have a sibling I just love these moments.

I went in the kitchen and Ryan was begging Harvey to do ‘the voice’.  He makes Harv be the voice of the fish.  I’m happy to let them have their special time…alone.
