A journal for friends and family to follow our life with our boys, Ryan and Erik, and our little girl Megan.
Megan loves her brothers…but she really enjoys when they go to school and I have time to do more with her.
Yesterday we got to work at a drop-off center. The boys look forward to this every year. I love to watch them at work. They just love being a part of Operation Christmas Child. It was extra fun to bring the boxes we collected at school.
“Tape Gun Man”
Almost 5,500 shoeboxes!
It’s shoebox time! A couple of weeks ago the boys got to go build shoeboxes at a shoebox party. They look forward to it every year.
Ryan has brought a friend the last two years. We had to leave early for his friend’s soccer game. His friend said he would be skipping soccer next year!
This year the boys’ school decided to participate in Operation Christmas Child. The boys got to be part of the presentation and loved it!
These are a few pictures from the last tournament. Ryan had a great game yesterday. He was 5 for 5 at bat and made a double play playing shortstop, which isn’t too bad for a lefty. Today was not so good. They were eliminated after game one. Only one more tournament for the year. It will be nice to have a little time off. And by little I mean…until January!
This was my first Halloween at home! Harvey took the littles out and I stayed home with Ryan who wanted to stay home this year. I was a little sad that he is getting old enough to opt out of such things, but I get that going door to door collecting candy that you can only eat about 10% of isn’t that great anymore. He loved giving it out though and I loved sitting home in a warm house! Here’s our little Doc McStuffins and her friend Commander Fox:
Okay, she’s been four for a month…but here are some pictures from the big day.
As you can see, I outdid myself on her cake! She loved it though.
It was a big Doc McStuffins day.
Megan loves:
Doc McStuffins
coloring
drawing
riding her bike
playing with her brothers
persimmons
and
books!
A couple of her most memorable recent quotes:
“When I’m a mom can I be in charge?”
“Mom, can you stop talking? I’m trying to read my Bible.”
Sometimes it helps to get a little dressed up when solving math problems!
So we have a new computer! Ours was failing and it has been quite a project picking a new one, waiting for it to come, and getting it up and going. Hopefully it won’t be too hard for Harvey to get me going on it!
