Last night as a six year old

 2012-04-12_002

2012-04-12_009 Seven years ago tonight I went to sleep and was woken up early in the morning by this little guy.  Come to think of it, seven years ago today was my last day teaching too.  I couldn’t be happier with my new career or my little guy.

18 Months

Another month…

2012-04-09 11.30.43

It looks like someone’s sweater is getting a little snug.  Oh how I long to take a clear photo of her!  I don’t have a single photo that isn’t blurry.  It just adds to my irritation of her not being here.  I hope our computer can handle the number of pictures I will be taking once she gets home!  She is still in the 50-75% in height and 75-90th in weight.

The first babies of the year will be coming home this week.  It should be another couple of weeks until the next group has their EPs approved.
We don’t know when the third group will be issued EPs.  Hopefully there will be another group in April, but it may be May and then we should expect only one group per month.  Our agency is only caught up through the very beginning of February.  Since our agency in Korea has said their quota will allow all of the referrals issued through Nov.’11 to come home this year, and we are June, I think she should be home by the end of the summer.  Of course we’ll hope it’s sooner, but at least we have some amount of confidence that to get July-Nov. home, we’ll have to be out of the way.

A win!

One of Ryan’s classmates brought in his three chicks for show and tell:

The Marlins have their first win!  They beat the team they lost to the first week: 18-8  They don’t even look like the same team.

As usual, I am totally behind for Easter.  I just went to three different stores to find bunny Peeps.  What’s up with all of the chicks?  Though I am totally going to try the chicks dipped in chocolate.  But they don’t go with my cute flower arrangement.  We are having 35 for Easter and my house is umm…not ready!  I better go clean something.

Feeling Crafty

I felt like doing something crafty so last night I made this cute bunny garland I saw on pinterest while I watched t.v.

I finally finished Ryan’s Giants book last night as well.  I thought it would be fun to keep his tickets and a few pictures from his first few games, especially since he has already come home with a statue, a foul ball, and two signed balls.

2012-04-03_002 There once was a little boy who had a love for the game.

He knew every position and all of their names.

Posey, Lincecum, Sanchez, Cain…

Now that he knew them,

he would never be the same.

A chance to see them play,

well-that would just make his day.

Erik is super into numbers right now.  He wanted to do numbers this afternoon so I gave him the 100 board and tiles and let him try filling it in.  Other than a couple reversals (68,86…) he did it in one sitting.

In which I talk of loose teeth and pink camouflage…

Ryan will be seven in a week and a half.  He will also be without at least one of his teeth.  We can barely get school work done he is so fixed on playing with the top front one.  He also has another loose one on the bottom.

On Sunday we got news that more EPs have been issued.  While it is great news, it hit me like a left hook.  Our agency only got one.  That means we only got through January.  The last group made it to January…  It just felt like almost no movement, like my summer with her slipped away as I read the email.    So I did what anyone in this situation would do, I went on Ebay.  I decided to find something fun for Kimmy that would definitely still fit her when she comes home.  Imagine the joy when I found pink camouflage pants!  I’m thinking it’s way cheaper than therapy and she’ll look darling!  Of course I’ll need to find just the right shirt!
