Her Royal Cuteness

This is another photo that was sent to us.  She is too cute!

Her foster mom dresses her so cute and so far has had such great hairdos. 

 

 A family is going to Korea so we got to send another bag of goodies.  Imagine her chubbiness in those jammies!!  It was hard to send them because I want to give her a bath, put her in them and rock her to sleep!

This was our first trip to the river.  It was really pretty.  It was less pretty when the other river goers next to us said, “just wanted to let you know we saw a rattlesnake in the water a few days ago.”  I’m not a snake person.  I’m really not a deadly snake person. 

    I figured my shark theory would hold up…’if there are lots of other people closer to the shark or snake territory, they will get it first.’  So, I’m not as selfless as you thought.  Sorry to disappoint!  My parents should not have let a seven year old see Jaws.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 Fortunately, at least for my nerves, the water couldn’t have been clearer and it was mostly shallow.  This was the deepest area except by the rock.  Ryan has my blood running through his body…therefore a thorough check had to be done by the guy below to assure him that no snakes were lurking.

Through the Woods to Grandmother’s House We Went…

 I said I was done with Lake photos…the rest of the trip is still coming!

As we were entering the park Erik had to go potty so we pulled off here.  While that was going on some folks pulled up behind us and took a picture by this sign.  Didn’t even occur to my picture-loving mind that this would indeed be a good picture taking spot.  Anyways, we followed their lead, and now you know where we were.

 

  Since I could only answer two (one of which I’m confident of) of Ryan’s plethora of questions about volcanoes, we will be studying them this year!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So I asked the ranger at the visitor center where we should take the boys.  “Oh, just up the road to the Sulfur Works.”

 So…we drove a few minutes up the road and parked.  Everybody got out, changed from flip-flops into socks and shoes, got covered in sunscreen, and put their hats on.  We then set off on our 38 second ‘hike’,
