Totally digging the train action!

The recovery:
Do-Over:
A journal for friends and family to follow our life with our boys, Ryan and Erik, and our little girl Megan.
We got new pictures this morning! I wasn’t expecting more until she turned one so it was a great surprise. She turned 11 months old today. Wishing we weren’t missing all of these months!
This is one of the things we sent her in the last package. They must have come to get it and took some photos for us. She is over 23 pounds now. I didn’t calculate her height yet.
Here’s a preview of the party:
Not to worry, he recovered! : )
It’s 9pm and we’re still working on the trains…the kiddos arrive at 10am to party with Erik. I can’t believe he is turning 3. He reminds me about every 15 minutes. Today he told me, “I love you. Your my favorite gril “(girl.) I love little boys! So it seems I can’t get any photos up until this birthday party is over. Back to the trains. I just got fired from putting on wheels so I’ll go see if I can give the straps a shot. For someone who has to get up in five hours, he’s awfully picky.
I’ve been inundated with requests for the scavenger hunt clues so I wrote them out under the original post for both of you! We left early (11am) on Friday and I wanted to put the pictures up but didn’t have time (left so early) before family camp to add the clues then. It was really a fun way to start the day.
We had a fantastic time at family camp. We had 15 families stay overnight and 12 more come in the day. Lots and lots of kiddos and a grand time was had by all. I’ll try to put some pictures up tomorrow. Of course they will be in installments.
Today was Ryan’s first day at his new homeschool away from home school. He’ll go on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I think it’s going to be great for everyone! After the morning orientation, Erik and I went and picked up Gramma. We hit the mall and she got Erik some shoes for his birthday.
New books from Gramma (the school teacher.)

Scavenger Hunt:
Today’s the first day of school,
find something to write with where it’s
very, very cool!
off to find his school supplies…
(pencils)
You have much to tell us,
We want to read your stuff.
Go find this where you wash in the buff.
(journals)
No, there’s no time to play at the beach…
but you might fine something to write with
where it’s easier to reach.
We all make mistakes when we don’t know “why,”
Go look for help where things get dry.
(eraser)
Now that you can write well,
You need something to help you spell-
it might be near a very noisy bell.
you need this to make things
very sticky.
(glue and glue sticks)
Hey, first graders don’t need a nap-
But there’s a whole lot of color
going on under a map.
To learn, listen, and look-
Go to where you get a great view
and read a book.
Ready for school!

We’re going to have another garage sale! We did this two years ago and raised a lot of money for our Christmas Shoeboxes. All money raised will go towards filling boxes and postage. If you are local and have anything that has a REASONABLE chance of selling please let me know! We will be having the sale on Sept. 17th.
